Science of Art (Thursdays) - In Studio

Let’s dive into the exciting worlds of Art and Science! In this club we ask our favorite question: How is it made? As we create and learn, we not only explore how we make art, but also what goes on behind the scenes. You will learn experimental artistic methods as you investigate mediums such as paint, sculpture, book arts, printmaking, and more. This unique experience is enhanced by learning the science and engineering behind how these methods contribute to an artistic creation. Varied projects include making clay, creating musical instruments, marbling paper, and even learning how to use the projects made earlier in the quarter to create more art! No experience necessary. Best part? ALL supplies are included!!

Day: Thursdays

Fall Session (10 weeks): 9/26, 10/3, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24, 11/7, 11/14, 11/21, 12/5, 12/12 (No class 10/31 or 11/28)

Spring Session: TBD

Time: 4:00-5:30

Age of Student: 2nd grade and up.

Classroom Location: Made Sewing Studios (124 N 103rd St, Suite A)

Supplies needed for class:

• All materials are provided for this class.

Please also bring:

• A mask that will be worn at all times within the studio

Class Level: This class is for Beginner Kid Sewists in 2nd grade and up. No previous experience is required.

Cancellation Policy: No refunds are offered for classes or camps. If you cancel at least 72 hours before class begins, we can apply the class fees to another class/camp. Cancellations received less than 72 hours before class begins, or no-shows, forfeit their class fees. We are unable guarantee the same class or session will be available for rescheduling. Arriving more than 30 minutes late for class may also be a forfeit of class fees. Please call. Inclement weather, as well as school and government mandated closures, have the same cancellation policy.
