Happy 4th Birthday to Made! (Sale) June 12 2019, 0 Comments
Wow, 4 years! I can't believe 4 years ago today I turned that sign from Closed, to Open. What an amazing roller-coaster ride! Owning your own business is much more stressful and complicated than I could have ever imagined, but I have loved it (and sometimes hated it.)
I'd like to take a moment to thank all of the wonderful people who have helped make Made successful over the years, from family and friends to dedicated
Julia, Jess, Erin, Rose & Katie: Thank you for all your amazing hard work. I could never run this business without you, and your tireless loyalty and dedication is like no other I've ever experienced.
Ben & Joe: My carpentry heroes! You have helped on so many occasions to fix and mend things in the studio. You guys rock.
Deb, Sylvie, Jen & Jen: The Friday Night ladies, thank you for bringing your fun, wonderful spirits to the studio ever Friday. I learn from you constantly, thank you for your friendship and support.
My Little Students: What can I say, every week and summer I laugh harder than I ever thought I could. You are all delightful little balls of sunshine and teaching you is an honor.
My Taller Students: I love teaching my adult students, I love hearing about your lives and adventures and watching you embark on the new creative art of sewing.

Day 2: Hats and cooking! Our favorite Chef Madeline of Meals by Madeline will be coming in the second half of the day and teaching the kids a little about cooking and they will all go home with some yummy snacks they made themselves. All while wearing their fabulous aprons and hats!
A Sweet Farewell to our Greenwood Studio June 12 2019, 0 Comments
When I started the studio, I wanted to create a space and community for sewists and crafters to have fun and expand their knowledge. I also prayed I could make it work for at least a year, just one year would have made me feel like my dream wasn’t crazy. Six years later, wow. Six years later I can’t believe how much we have grown. Last year we opened our Leilani studio on 103rd. Mostly because we thought our building was going to be sold but also because we had grown way too big for our little 600 sq. ft. turquoise gem of a studio. In this year we have done some serious expanding. Teaching at over 25 schools a quarter, 40 summer kids camps and numerous adult classes. Phew, that’s a LOT of future sewists!
Going into next year we have some very exciting opportunities and plans. In order to focus our attention on those exciting new adventures we will be closing our beloved Greenwood Studio on 85th at the end of this month and will be working solely from the Leilani studio. I know this makes a lot of people sad, but we are REALLY exciting for the next steps in our path to world sewing domination. We will continue to offer our after-school programs, kids camps/classes and adult classes along with some super fun new ones we will announce later this week. We truly appreciate the continued support from our amazing customers and community and are excited to share more new sewing shenanigans as we move into the new year! Greenwood, you will be greatly missed but we will frequent you often! 2018 will be the best!

Sewing & Stitchery Expo: Historically Accurate Costuming June 12 2019, 1 Comment
Hello all!
We had such a wonderful time at Sew Expo! Rose also had a fantastically fun time teaching her seminar, "Historically Accurate Costuming: Let me Ruin That Movie for You"
We will be adding this presentation Tuesday/Wednesday. Rose got so many great ideas that she wanted to add to the resource/presentation materials before posting. We will post the presentation and resource materials by Wednesday, March 8th.

WOW, we are SO excited a second location for Made Sewing Studio! Now we can have twice the sewing fun! Located about 20 mins North of our Greenwood Studio we are super excited to be opening a new, larger, second studio space where the old Leilani Lanes on 103rd and Holman.
