We are always trying to find new and fun outfits for the kids to create and we stumbled upon this super cute knit dress/tunic and leggings and, well, couldn't help ourselves! In this class the kids will make a cozy dress with hood (optional) and pockets. They will also make a pair of super comfy and stylish leggings. This is a great introduction to sewing with knits and will answer that baffling question, "How can you accidentally make pants into a skirt." The answer is, way easier than you think! Aside from my own personal sewing fails, we will learn about working with knits, finishing edges and oodle of more sewing skills!

Supplies List:

Dress/Tunic:

  • Main Fabric: 2 yards of knit fabric like french terry or ponte knit (make sure it's medium weight, you shouldn't be able to see through it)

Leggings:

  • 1.5 yards of medium weight knit (please stay away from the very thin knits as they will be more difficult to sew on)

    Lunch:

    • Please bring a lunch, two snacks and water
